Elvis' Cadillac Comes To Russia

January 23, 2008 | Other
With Russia's motor industry expanding rapidly today, a group of enthusiasts outside St Petersburg are devoting their lives to restoring car classics.

Some of the cars belonged to real-life legends, among them the first man in space Yury Gagarin, Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev and the king of rock 'n' roll, Elvis Presley. To get the vehicles running is the main aim and they have to pass modern technical checks.
With several car manufacturers in St Petersburg thrusting the city to the forefront of modern automobile production, the warehouse is ensuring that along with modern cars, the old classics are still roadworthy. Only after they’re completely restored, the cars will be shown to the public.
