Surely the world's greatest and most exciting entertainer of all time deserves a far more appealing and attractive cover ?. You wouldn't look twice at this in the shops. Its one of the most boring covers I have ever seen. But EPE don't do much right anyway in my opinion !

I'm sure I saw a similar cover on Eric Morcambe's life story !

I like everything except for those black old man glasses. C'mon at least put a pair of his TCB glasses on the piano. That had to be a Cilla deal.

An Inadequate, lacklustre, out dated, boring and half hearted presentation. So, the usual then. They never fail to get it wrong do they.

I suppose they were aiming for a nice, calm, homely, studious, family-man type of feel. I agree something more dynamic would have been better though!

What kind of cover is this? A very lazy effort to say the least.Come on EPE get with it and change this awful cover.Thank you- Elvis Forever.

I think it's a classy, clean design instead of cluttered graphic incompetence for a change. True, it doesn't have a photo of Elvis gracing the entire space, but this special is supposed to be a families interpretation, which I believe the designers are attempting to showcase by the home inspired space. I do, however, agree that the big black glasses are out of context. I've never seen E wearing anything like those. You're right Elvis_77, they should be a pair of TCB's.

give the cover a break. the dvd and the special aint about the vegas/hollywood/ the rebel elvis its about the down home elvis. its about his home life its about the man behind the music. he was laid back and the cover is laid back and calm.

you really expect john lennon to come in and start playing the piano, (after buddy Holly picks up his glasses).

I've got nothing against this cover. It's different, surely. I'm sure 'they' thought about it. None of this goes out without a couple of dozen meetings about the topic. It's a family cover for a family DVD about family-stories. I think the cover (together with it's content - hopefully) will earn its right place in every fans' collection.

The thing about the glasses, they just might be there instead of tcb glasses to identify that this is a personal book about Elvis by his family, just like the photos family type. Elvis did have aprivate life as well he didnt walk round in ajump suit and tcb glases al the time. EPE told me they are his reading glasseswhats the problem dont judge a book by its cover ?

I think the cover is ok. Not great but at least its different. It dos have a family feel about it which i think is the intention. By the way if its not off topic there is an interview with Elvis' granddaughter Riley in Elle magazines current issue.

I read somewhere that the DVD will contain a bonus hour of Priscilla's personal Elvis home movies plus Priscilla and Ernst Jorgenson playing Elvis music in the Studios etc.

Who as ever seen Elvis or a photograph of him wearing these glasses even if he did wear these "occasionally" would it not better to have the aviator glasses he is famous for on the piano its like putting a embassy regal cigarette on winston churchills desk at downing st.

You can trust Jim Semple to get it wrong again! It's all about how the family saw him, a different side to the Elvis the rest of the world saw (hence the glasses), it's not about Elvis the entertainer. How stupid would it be to have photo of Elvis on stage in a jump-suit. We all hate the way the "general public" have a blinkered view of an overweight "Las Vegas" Elvis and yet some of us are just as bad. I for one like this cover, it's different and makes a change from the usual Elvis cliches. Anyway, I can't believe how much time people on here devote to complaing about covers, whether it's CDs, books or DVDs.

I am not that bothered about the cover.I would not say it is the greatest cover in the world. But whats more important is the contents.I dont buy a dvd or cd because of the cover. But if other fans dont like it then there are also entitled to there opinion as well.
