Elvis appeared at the Olympics: the closing ceremony of the 2004 Summer Olympics featured some great entertainment. The loudest cheers and applause were for up-and-coming pop star Sakis Rouvis, who descended from the sky on cables in an all-white jumpsuit that made him look like Elvis - the young, thin one.

I saw this. In no way did he remind me of Elvis. Talk about making something out of nothing. And what do they mean, "young thin one"? Elvis could hardly be considered to be old when he died at 42. The continuing obsession with a person's appearence still persists I see. For pity's sake, anyone would think he was the first person to put on weight! Oh dear, and we know what a crime that is these days - days in which talentless anorexic stick insects are much lauded over. Pathetic!!

I agree with the King Of Western Bop, what a load of rubbish by EIN, in no way did this remind us of Elvis, he wasn't even singing an Elvis song. EIN ought to take a good look at themselves in the mirror and re-evaluate some of it stories. Jivin Jim Sydney Australia

Agree too, and it surprises me to find it here. I do not care about the lighthearted things every now and then, but I think this is very far away from the meaning of this site. To fill or not to fill? :-)

This story came from an AP journalist who is obviously used to writing ficticious bullshit. I agree with Lex, and think that such articles should be put in the wpb. Sakis who....

this kinda crap makes me sick.The on going bash of elvis' weight.It makes me laugh cause the guy who probably wrote this is a fat ass himself. Elvis' image is being used alot in advertisement,which you would think is a good thing.But they feel the need to use the 'elvis in a jumpsuit' image alot. oh and Sakis Rouvis,who the bloody hell are you? and why dont you come down as your self in stead of looking a prat?
