Elvis-A-Rama Museum Closes

Las Vegas residents only have four days to visit the Elvis-A-Rama Museum. The museum is closing October 1st. It is located west of the Fashion Show Mall on Industrial Road. The museum houses more than $5 million worth of Elvis Presley memorabilia. It's the largest collection of its kind outside of Graceland. Last year, the company CKX, Incorporated, which controls the name, image and likeness of "The King," bought the museum. In its place, the company plans to build a world-class Elvis-themed attraction.

Not a bad deal. At least they didn't try to close the thing down without any negotiation - they could have tried to shut it down with the 'name, image and licence' route, but chose to talk. Perhaps it will be a good move - only time will tell.

I had the chance of visiting this museum last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, sorry to hear of its closure but vegas needs this kind of museum, after all Elvis spent many years of his career their.

Don't feel too sorry for him, after all he is the one who decided to sell and he's off to open a new museum in Hawaii. Don't seem too bad a deal to me.

Guess who request the close of Elvis-A-Rama Museum´s doors? Too much power. The museum had great pieces. I wish him the best too ....

This is a shame. The museum had great pieces. Chris D is a great guy, and I wish him the best.
