Elvis: A Musical Inventory 1939 - 1955 Delayed

November 19, 2003 | Book
The book "Elvis: A Musical Inventory 1939 - 1955" from Music Mentor Books, detailing Elvis' earliest musical influences, has been delayed until February 2004. Originally the release of this 424 pages book was set for the end of Nevember 2003.

This book lists songs Elvis learned at school, hymns and spirituals he sang at church, numbers he performed on the radio, in clubs, at backstage jams, etc. In it, Richard Boussiron, Samuel Barnes and Graham Metson, present 20 years of original research including interviews with a lot of people who knew him, including his teacher, church ministers, work colleagues and fellow musicians. And, for the first time anywhere, complete details of all the historic Sun sessions — taken directly from the personal files of Marion Keisker.
