Elvis - City Of Lakes '76

June 06, 2013 | Music

The October tour in 1976 wasn't by far the best of Elvis, but it showed that he made a step in the right direction. His physical appearance had much improved since summer when he probably looked his worst ever. Much more important was the quality of his concerts also changed for the better. During the tour in fall '76 he gave some good shows with some strong versions.

Unfortunately the original release from FTD "A Minnesota Moment" left a lot to be desired.

It sounded flat, muffled, lifeless and very hissy. The soundquality was dissapointing as was the 'artwork' which showed on top an outrageous bad done photoshop job with Elvis' left hand.

The VERVE Team did everything to improve the overal sound and as a result you'll get to hear a soundboard recording that should have sounded in the first place. Now you can hear the show for the first time in the best possible soundquality. Hopefully you can enjoy the concert now as much as we do while reading and flipping the sixteen pages of the booklet.

But... but... but... they said they have improved the sound and it's now how it should have been. Are they telling fibbers? Can't trust anyone nowadays!
