Easy Come, Easy Go

FTD announced the release of the immortal Easy Come, Easy Go soundtrack on vinyl:

FTD Vinyl is pleased to announce the first official RCA Victor Easy Come, Easy Go 2-LP edition. As there was no official publicity portrait session for the movie, the original EP featured a cover shot from Girl Happy. Around the same time as the ECEG EP release, See The USA The Elvis Way EP (based on the ECEG EP art design) was released exclusively in Australia and New Zealand. For this 2-LP limited edition, we have mirrored this rare design that included a publicity portrait from Spinout. Elvis recorded the songs on september 28 and 29, 1966.

For lp fans only. I don´t collect lps anymore. And I wait until someone mourns about the cover.

Mourn about the cover? Why? This is in my opinion a really really great cover. And I collect the FTD LP‘s. Nice collectors item in my eyes.

... cause it is not from the movie. I heard some fans mourning around in another forum. Not me, I like the cover.

... I know what you mean. But if you take a look at the cover of the 1967 EP Easy Come Easy Go, you'll see that there's a Girl Happy Photo on the front and a Spinout Photo on the back. With this LP it was done the other way around. Which I think is okay and not without a concept. Like that idea.

I buy FTD vinyl every so often if it offers something that I want. "Tickle Me" offered the soundtrack songs in original mono on side 4, I believe. "Easy Come, Easy Go" offers a very eye catching package with a great cover photo, but nothing I want musically. I'll take a pass.

I know, Mr. Finkel. It´s just that there are some fans who mourn about this. It´s okay for me even if I don´t buy lps anymore.
