Don't Think Twice

June 09, 2000 | Music
A new CD announced by the new Madison label is "Don't think Twice". This soundboard features the soundboard recording from January 29th, 1973 (Dinner show). A 1973 soundboards is pretty rare, so this is a special release. The sound quality is pretty good, and it comes with an eight page "full color" booklet. As far as we can see now, the artwork is very tasteful and modern, probably better than ever before.
One of the highlights of this release is Sweet Carolina, which is a rare performance for 1973; a beautiful version of "What Now My Love, and a really groovy version of " Steamroller Blues", with James Burton guitar works just being outstanding. Also a very different approach of "Hound Dog" (again great work by James Burton). Also Elvis dedicated a song to Colonel Beaulieu who was also in the audience.
