i Dont Care For The 50s Presley .I Think He Was Much Better In The 60s And 70s Just My Opinion.
Jerome wrote on April 14, 2008
is that really Elvis on the cover?..
Jumpin Jehosaphat wrote on April 15, 2008
To Jerome, No actually thats the Fire Hydrant used by Old Shep
Harvey Alexander wrote on April 15, 2008
That isn't Elvis on the cover because he's not wearing a clown suit with spangles and rhinestones on it. And where are the mutton chop sideburns? We should be told. I think it's an impersonator myself. The real Elvis is the one who sang 'My Way' to blue rinse ladies in Vegas.

:-) that's his out-of-bed look..

The 50's were Elvis' most fruitful period(yes the critics are right on this) when he really cared about the product he put out and the quality of the music. Just look at this diverse track list. The majority of the 60's were lost for the most part in a haze of subpar soundtrack recordings and in the 70's he mostly became a singer of other peoples songs, with a few good originals in the mix.

Look Mr. Harvey Alexander i'm getting just a little sick and tired of reading your opinions of Elvis on this web site. If you don't like Elvis and all you want to do is make fun and poke jokes at him why are you on this web site?
JerryNodak wrote on April 15, 2008
It may well have been his must fruitful period (depending on your definition), but it is also the Elvis I listen to least. Let's see, when is the last time I listened to anything from the '50s? About 6 months ago as I recall. You'll have to excuse me now. I hear the "Harum Scarum" soundtrack calling me.

OK Jerry - Golden Coins to you!

"I would have watched him read the newspaper" Why? You are obviously easily pleased. That's why Elvis fans are looked upon as easy touches. "Give 'em any old crap and they'll eat it up". No wonder Sony BMG continue to rehash the same old stuff. It's because people like you will buy it. As long as it's got Elvis' name on. And Lamp Light, I come on here and joke the way I do because it needs to be joked about. Otherwise I'd go crazy believing you lot were genuinely as crazy as you sound. And if I didn't genuinely like Elvis I wouldn't be here. Dig him for his best music and what he did to change the music world, but ignore the crap that gets attached to it - be it remixes or whatever.

Harvey is right folks. Its scary reading some of these posts from people taking names from Elvis movie characters. That in itself says a lot about the mentality here.
Jumpin Jehosaphat wrote on April 15, 2008
Harvey, what a name nobody in their right mind would be named harvey, sounds like something the cat dragged in and Jackie Gleasson threw out before his Stage Show.

But Jehosaphat is okay?
