Dee Presley Is On It Again

July 22, 2007 | People
Dee Presley, married to Vernon, Elvis’ father, for 17 years, has agreed to a documentary on Elvis, including “the vast dark side of Elvis, the pursuit of the pathway to death, and his damaging alter-ego to both himself and those around him”. Here’s the press release: “This is the intimate story of the life of Dee Presley and her experience as a step-mother to Elvis Presley, Along with her three sons, in 1969 she moved to what then well-known, and today is burned into music history as Graceland – Her name was soon to become an echo for the family combination and life that followed - from the start of the marriage to Vernon, to the “new life” and spotlight. The feature documentary will delve into the various major milestones of Elvis’ life – from the tours, to Priscilla, to the birth of Lisa Marie, to Dee’s famous separation from Vernon. But, there is more to this story as a dramatic explosion occurs…. Dee unfolds her boundaries in tell-all recollections of Elvis’ declining morals, extracurricular activities, secret relations, and “out-of-control” behavior. The Story soars to the heights of the most unmatched Rock N roll Star of the 20th Century, and down into the vast dark side of Elvis, the pursuit of the pathway to death, and his damaging alter-ego to both himself and those around him.”

Earlier, Dee wrote “the truth” in a book, in which she also stated that Elvis slept with Gladys.

"into the various major milestones of Elvis’ life – from the tours, to Priscilla, to the birth of Lisa Marie". Gosh look at that chronology. Hate the Staneleys. Anyone who buys that crap is contributing to the appearance of newer crap. Encouraging this leeches to write more crap. I call everyone to boycott the book!
mature_elvis_fan75 wrote on July 22, 2007
Again theres enough people that will buy this, because they think they have to have it all,im sure she knows shes not liked by the fans and she feeds off this,we get so few books on Elvis the artist but no shortage of tell all books and other rubbish!

Dont worry.. "The bitter they are, the harder they fall"! Adding the fact of her timing, and the fact that still keep´s the Presley name, one can easily imagine how sincere this person is. Every vulture wants a piece this year...

When I think Elvis didn't show up (on purpose) at Vernon and Dee's wedding in 1960, was he right to do so or what ?... He never liked Dee from the beginning and time is telling him he had good reasons to think so !...To accept participating to such a project she prooves she ain't worth a damn...she's at the dusk of her life and she still finds time to keep badmouthing her step-son on and on....not impressed....she should get over it ! When she passes away, Elvis and Vernon won't welcome her in the sky but will re-direct her towards the hell's door....Amen !

Hmm... imho big apology to everyone for all that sh*t that she told/wrote and then suicide is the best that she can do for Elvis.

Since I can't go with my first thought on reading this (they wouldn't print it), I'll go with my second. The women is obviously in the first stages of dementia. The ranting and raving of a bitter women is not good reading and who ever publishes this garbage should also be boycotted. I wouldn't read this if it was the last book on earth.

Several people have stated they won't buy the book. They couldn't if they wanted to: this is press release is not about a book, it's about a "feature documentary".
Elvisnites wrote on July 22, 2007
Sorry, reading the meat of the story totally blinded me to the word "Documentary". Let me cover all my bases. If its shown on TV, I'll band that station in my home. If it's for sale, it won't be bought by me. Thanks for the correction.

I think after 30 years people should leave Elvis alone. We have so many inside stories that tell a very possitive tale, it's obvious she's got an agenda. I guess they never really got along.
Steve B. wrote on July 22, 2007
I read somewhere, there have been over 1,000 books written on Elvis. I think that is a little much. I hope the fans will stop buying them.

here's an aging sleazoid who failed to score with elvis in the wake of his tragic loss of his beloved mother gladys; so she quickly sized up the situation and zeroed in on his equally vulnerable father. and with vernon she scored. and within the batting of a single false eyelash she dumped her then-husband, the stanley boys' daddy, took a firm hold of vernon presley's coattails (or whatever she took hold of), grabbed her three sons and jumped aboard elvis's runaway mystery train. initially forced on the presley family, but eventually divorced from vernon, and seemingly estranged from elvis from practically the very moment she wormed her way into his father's life, this muck-raking, star-stalking, tabloid-headline-wannabe/neverwas has been living off the presley mystique for decades. thirty years down the line from elvis's tragic and untimely passing, dee stanley will now open our eyes to elvis's "declining morals"?! Good God Almighty, how does this woman manage to sleep at night?

Dee is Demented! Elvis was so right about her from the very start!
Ruthie wrote on July 23, 2007
My God, this poor witch needs money, too! I sure hope she isn't planning an expensive trip! This whole book scene is getting sicker by the minute. Who is she to comment on Elvis' morals? She was a married woman with 2 young children when she entered into her affair with Vernon. And then there's her bouts with alcohol, with & without Vernon. Elvis was nothing to her but a money pit & when she couldn't worm her way into his affections she took the next best route! He may not have cared for her but during his lifetime he treated her with civility & respect. She is too slimy to do that for him after his death. And, yes, Elvis did sleep with Gladys when he was a little boy while Vernon was away serving time. And later when Vernon returned he sometimes slept in bed with them (at the bottom) because of his sleepwalking. It's all documented & there's nothing wrong with that unless you are perverted.
rosiel wrote on July 23, 2007
Yes, like her son David, she needs more money. Elvis didn't pay out enough money and blood when he was alive. They just keep coming back for more. The first comment was accurate. I am sure there is a hell and you, Dee, are going.

dee presley is probabley the worst one who jumps on lets ruin elvis reputation for money bandwagon, personally i think everything that comes out of her mouth is not fact , but fiction with hardly any truth atall. give it up dee , havent you hurt Elvis enough with your viciousness , i for one would not buy it , and i guess im not alone in that huh guys.
Viva wrote on July 23, 2007
Elvis had this vindictive, acidic old hag pegged from the start. She obviously has no brain. I find Elvis' darker side extremely interesting and worthy of discussion, but Dee Stanley has none of the integrity, respect, understanding or indeed factual knowledge to carry out such a task. She is quite clearly a sour face old boot with all the social graces and intelligance of a swamp donkey. I can see where her sons get it from. Poor Elvis, he really had to contend with some complete tossers didn't he.

I suppose that this "lady" and her offspring feel cheated by Elvis' death. If he had lived he would probably still have been supporting this money grabbing lot. I want nothing to do with anything they are associated with.
panda wrote on July 23, 2007
we all have our faults there is always two sides to a story why is it people always want to tell all just to make some money when the other person cannot defend themselves this lady is just going to make so many enemies and i hope lisa and priscilla speak out about all the crap she is spouting i for one would not buy it and if iwas handed a copy free it would go straight in the bin my memories of elvis is he always gave not to receive but with a generous heart

Just another money hungry, lyin', no good for nothing person out tryin' to make a quick buck. That's the only reason she married Vernon anyway was so she could play into money. Oh well, Elvis didn't care for Dee anyway..in fact, I believe they even had words a time or two.

Refreshing to see everyone agree for a change. This woman may as well just burn all the books as they sure are not going to sell. She will have to 'hit the streets' again.

In the middle age she would end on a stake; I would even volunteer to get the fire started...
Aarons wrote on July 24, 2007
Has anyone got a gun? I hope someone shoots her like they did with Kennedy. Like she knows what was going on she was hardly around Elvis. Elvis kepted her from a distance and he didn't really much care about her three sons. No one cares what this whore has got to spout on about. The thing i want to see in this ducumentry is her spouting on and Elvis is trying to blow her head off with a 12 guage shot gun. She says that Elvis had it off with his mum. All Elvis did was sleep in the same bed as his mum. I've done the same.
Aarons wrote on July 24, 2007
I agree with Viva Elvis had to contend with some complete tossers one Dee and two Tom Parker although Tom Parker had the descency not to ruin Elvis's reputation. When Elvis died Tom Parker saved Graceland not Vernon, not Dee and not Priscilla. SO we could give Tom Parker some credit but no credit to Dee. I wish Elvis had taken Dee to the desert, shot her and buried her. No one would find her especially in a desert.

Somebody should write the biography of Dee Presley and pay her back for abusing Elvis.
byebye wrote on July 24, 2007
As Ann Margret said... -"Vernon left Dee out of his will without a penny(!) She´s only doing this now to get back at Vernon, and at the same time make money. Ann Margret also thought the rest of the Presley family should take legal actions against her lies to prevent further media attention. Allthough I agree with her, I think "silence is golden" in this case, since it´s so obvious that it´s all made up. A legal case could be interpret by people as "Hmm, where there´s smoke, there´s fire". And like I allways say -Dont wrestle with pigs....
Rejane wrote on July 25, 2007
I agree with the person who said someone should write a biography about Dee Stanley Presley, She has no business throwing stones at Elvis, she was a MARRIED woman when she hooked up with Elvis' father and her behavior was less than stellar. I think I won't have any problems avoiding the fruits of her labors on this project! After all she's already written a book so why she has "additional" info that must be imparted can only mean she's rooting around for money shamelessly and SHAME on HER!
mature_elvis_fan75 wrote on July 25, 2007
Comparing this scum to kennedy is out of line, this is why people think us fans are nuts!
K wrote on July 25, 2007
She doesn't deserve the Presely name. From now on, I am going to refer to her as Dee Stanley. Period.
Tony C wrote on July 27, 2007
This lady divorced one Presley, has not a good word to say about another Presley, yet still uses the name all these years after the divorce. I can think of another lady who also does this. I won't offer prizes for guessing her name, you all know who I'm speaking about!
JerryNodak wrote on July 28, 2007
Okay, there's a few people in life I don't care for (Dee Stanley would be one of those), but I don't advocate bodily harm to anyone. Actually, advocating asassination is totally irresponsible. It's true some Elvis fans are "nuts."
Aarons wrote on July 28, 2007
Mature_elvis_fan75, I wasn't comparing Kennedy to Dee Stanley as the same personality or saying Kennedy was scum but he wasn't, i was simply suggesting the same method of killing her with a bullet to the head. It's a good job she's not insulting Elvis's mum. Anyway why not kill her. Anyone who spreads dangerous rumours needs to be. Like when that reporter said that Elvis was 'Strung out on herion'. Elvis replied by saying 'if he ever find the person, I'll pull his tongue out by the roots'. But Elvis, really wanted to kill him.
old shep wrote on July 30, 2007
As Elvis fans we all have our concerns that the Elvis Presley legacy should continue and thrive with our help in steadfastly upholding and protecting his proud name and many achievments. To utter violent and probably criminal threats against someone is tantamount to anarchy and hardly productive in its ideals. I think that a lot of the anger and bitterness towards this woman is warranted but a simpler means of getting at this latest project should be more forthcoming. In my opinion we should Email her sons boycott any events books etc which they have their names too.Tell them what you think of their mother ( within the bounds of libel) Bombard the makers of this tripe with emails and letters together with Dee "Presley" and tell her to prove what she says.
Steve V wrote on July 30, 2007
Just boycott this idiot and her sons. Ignore them & maybe they will go away. But assasinate? Oh my, it may be time to leave this site. How can anyone reason with that?
rosiel wrote on July 30, 2007
Yes, it is wrong to suggest bodily harm. Sad, that Elvis cannot ever defend himself. That is our job and I think many of us do it well. As long as we don't spend a penny on her, she won't make more money off the name. Lord help her if she ever shows up during Elvis Week! I love what Lee Dawson did on Elvis Express Radio in the UK.........he said he had a message for all of the Stanleys and then, brilliantly.... he flushed the toilet....and boy, was it loud. Thanks, Lee.
