Here is the cover of the Fort Baxter release "Shakin' Up The Great Lakes" from the Fort Baxter Classic Series which is due for release September 2006. This third release in this series features the April 24, 1977 Ann Arbor, MI show which was originally released on the "A Profile - The King On Stage volume 1" box set. Since the soundboard recording is incomplete the CD will contain also the performance recorded two days later in Kalamazoo, MI. Both soundboard recordings had some songs edited out when originally released and are now presented in their complete form. The total running time is 74:59.

These two concerts certainly make a nice double features as both contain several songs done only once, songs like "Trying To Get To You", "Jailhouse Rock", "Teddy Bear / Don't Be Cruel", "Help Me", "Little Sister", "Polk Salad Annie", "Unchained Melody", "Little Darlin'", "Big Boss Man", "Heartbreak Hotel", "And I Love You So", "Blue Suede Shoes" and "Hurt".
The material is presented in its best-ever sound quality to date with a 12 pages colour booklet, relevant text and photographs. This is scheduled for release in September. Definitely a very interesting CD to those who missed them out back then, and further more since it will be in better sound quality.

I love the design,but they could do better with the big photo,maybe another concert pic or something more flattering,i do like this series and will pick this one up ,i do however tihnk the cover art was better on kanasas city blues!

All I can say is that any CD that has Elvis Songs on it will be a wonderful hit. I see my favorite song My Way is on it. With that song on it you can never go wrong. Keep up the great work.

Alright!!! Now this cover is something that was thought out. I can appreciate the group with him, and there's just something eye catching about the cover in whole. It's a different approach, I guess a glimpse after the show or maybe before. Fort Baxter always does the best possible job.
