Cinema Re-Release TTWII

Trafalgar Releasing has announced the cinema re-release for “Elvis: That’s the Way It Is” for April 22 worldwide  in 14 countries.
The event will mark the 50th anniversary of the film’s original release by MGM. Most of the remastered footage was shot at the International Hotel in Las Vegas with songs including “Love Me Tender,” “Sweet Caroline,” “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Suspicious Minds.” The film was directed by Denis Sanders.

On July 31, 1969, in Las Vegas Elvis Presley staged a triumphant return to the concert stage from which he had been absent for almost a decade. Elvis' series of concerts broke all box office records and completely re-energised the career of the King of Rock 'n' Roll. The film followed Elvis’s summer festival in Las Vegas during August 1970.

Now 'Elvis: That’s The Way It Is' returns to cinemas worldwide for one night only on April 22, 2020.

An unmissable event for fans around the world.

Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing notes, "Trafalgar Releasing are pleased to be able to celebrate 85 years of this musical legend in collaboration with Warner Bros. and Authentic Brand Group. It's been 50 years since this career-changing documentary about The King of Rock 'n' Roll was released, yet the lasting legacy of Elvis Presley and his music can be seen more clearly than ever in film, music and culture.”

Elvis: That’s The Way It Is will be shown in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Germany and Austria.
Also, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Australia and New Zealand.

Tickets will be on sale from February 26, with all the details of participating cinemas.

If we're not going to get a complete Blu/CD set then this should have gone on general release ie every cinema in the UK

They missed it totally. It´s the 50th anniversary and we will get no dvd/blu ray edition with unreleased material. Go and see what can be done if you look at the Beatles " Let it be " docu which will be released this year and definitly with unreleased material. It´s a shame, Elvis camps.
