Christmas Chart U.K.

December 01, 2003 | Music
In the United Kingdom "Elvis 2nd To None" is hanging on to the lower regions of the album chart, climbing from #73 to #61, but the new album "Christmas Peace" has debuted on the official album chart at #41.

The U.K. edition of "Christmas Peace" is a Christmas CD only, BMG U.K. left out the second CD with Gospel songs (the "Peace"-theme). But just like the "Rubberneckin'"-single many shops also sell the 2CD import version (which won't help the local charts).

It's a shame that the 2CD set dosn't count towards chart position, because it is quite widely available here in the UK. The price difference between the two is hardly noticeable as well , I have even seen it being sold in one shop for £1 less than the single disc version!. Which one would you buy given this choice. A strange situation.

In the uk we can purchase imports quite easily therefore these purchases should count on UK chart postions.
