Charlie Hodge Wins Elvis Matters Award

October 08, 2006 | People
The late Charlie Hodge won the Elvis Matters Award 2006. Charlie, who passed away last March, received 49 percent of the votes. Jenson Bloomer, who performed with Charlie several times, flew in from the UK to accept the award on behalf of Charlie’s family. “Elvis called Charlie many things”, Jenson said, ‘But he always added ‘He’s my friend’. The members of ElvisMatters couldn’t have made a better choice. Charlie and Elvis are together again, and this award will get a special place of honor in Charlie’s house, I’m sure”.
