I went into an HMV store in Ontario, Canada, and lo and behold, there was Elvis with '68 and Aloha in the top ten!! Having already bought them in June, I instead bought Elvis At Sun (Great! SOund!), Change of Habit and Elvis -- His Best Friend Remembers. The girl at the counter, early 20s, asked if I'd bought 68/Aloha yet, to which I replied yes. She then tells me how much she likes Elvis, but had yet to see '68. Before I left the store, I had her promise to check out Elvis in all his "unplugged" glory, and that I'd check up on her next week. She had no idea what '68 is all about. This is a generational thing, if we're going to pass the torch to the next generation of fans, you need to talk Elvis up. Never mind company promotions -- just talke enthusiastically about Elvis. You might be surprised at the results. I left the store grinning from ear to ear!
