Bastiaan Ragas Joins TCB Band In The Netherlands

On Thursday September 20th, when the complete Elvis Band kicks off the European tour in The Netherlands, at least one Dutch artist will be waiting for his dream come true-moment. Bastiaan Ragas, currently immensely popular in Holland as a musical star and once member of the boy band Caught In The Act which sold over 15 million records, is the special guest for the Dutch show at the Frits Philips Music Hall in Eindhoven. “Elvis has always been my hero”, Bastiaan says. “I’ve been to Graceland twice, but never in my wildest dreams did I think of performing with the full Elvis Band. It’s a dream come true for me.” The highlight of the many activities “30 Years After” in Holland is the live show on September 20th in Eindhoven, simply called ELVIS 2007. Bastiaan will be the special guest of the Elvis Band, sharing their stage. Lead singer is Terry Mike Jeffrey. Other artists on stage are the TCB Band, the Imperials, the Sweet Inspirations, Joe Guercio & Orchestra. Tickets are available on the special website.

There's only one guy for this job, and that's Rene Shuman, he performed several times with the TCB Band already!

I also live in the Netherlands, and i do know Bastiaan ragas. He is a musical star and currently has a top 40 hit called 1000 manieren (a thousand ways), and his latest album is going pretty well in the dutch album top 40. He has a pretty good voice. But despite all this i personally don't agree that he is the man to sing with the TCB band. The band is going to tour for the last time, and will never come back to Holland after September 20. So to decide to let Bastiaan sing with the guys is a pretty big farce. Rene shuman would have been the guy for this job

I live in the Netherlands, never heart of him. Don't want to put him down in advance but I will try to find a song of him on 'you tube', can't wait to find out.

Jenson Bloomer is the ultimate tribute artist. I'd rather see him than this Bastiaan figure..

Well, I never heard of the fellow. But that is not surprising as I don't like Dutch music. But after the announcement I checked the internet. Listening to his so called popular song I lasted not very long to quit listening. I was not thrilled about the 'special guest' last year, but I fear this will be a complete disappointment. It might be a moment to take a break! Anyway, I will go for the TCB band, the Imperials, the Sweet Inspirations and of course Joe Guercio. Time is running out for seeing all of them together, so I would not miss this for the world.
