Sony BMG will release "The Complete Million Dollar Quartet" recordings in Australia on October 6.

Sony BMG will release The Essential Elvis Presley in 2007, probably in February. This is the excellent Sony Music CD series that currently featuring such artists as Bruce Springsteen (includes Bruce's version of 'Viva Las Vegas'), Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson and many more.

I think the Essential series are pretty good for other artists. I bought my wife the Barry Manilow one recently and it's very good. But when an artist like Elvis has one released, it's hard to get excited as there are about a gazillion greatest hits compilations already out there. It will probably be a good thing though to collectors of this series as it complements their collections. I just have a horrible feeling it's 30#1's and 2nd To None put together.
