At The Forum

May 11, 2007 | Music
The forthcoming release from the "Graceland Records" label is entitled "At The Forum" and features the unreleased concert of Elvis as recorded May 11th, 1974, during the afternoon show at Forum Of Inglewood, Los Angeles, CA. The CD has a running time of 64 minutes and set for release late May 2007.

From the press release:

The first what's comes to mind with this release is , Wow, secondly, what a show most it have been for those who where there. This is definitively the better of the 2 concerts given that day at "The Forum "(as they say in Los Angeles). Here we have the unedited, uncut and non- spliced concert of Elvis as recorded May 11th, 1974, afternoon show at Forum Of Inglewood, Los Angeles, CA. This is the complete show where, "You can have her" is taken from. A third generation copy, you'll find on FTD, release "Live in LA".

Note : An incomplete and less quality copy has been available for some time. So it was time to do it right and release it in complete form from the original tape. The Booklet contains 40 + photos of the concert in a beautiful high quality booklet. It has been mastered in 24 Bit format straight from the original tape for optimum sound quality.

Great release IMO..since it is from a first generation tape the sound must be much better than on the Tiger label release 1991 and we have Polk Salad Annie which was missing there and we have You Can Have Her in the right context. Nice touch to announce the release on May 11th, the date of the show. anyone else noticed? Well done..Graceland records !!
