Another Million Dollar Quartet Release

April 27, 2004 | Music
The Japanese Elvis site mentions another Million Dollar Quartet release which should hit the streets June 30, this year. With the 50th anniversary of Elvis' first recording coming up, this is probably one of the many releases of old Elvis material which can be distributed more easily (outside the United States) with the ending of several copyright restrictions because of the age, 50 years, of these recordings.

I've read somewhere that in Europe about 15 different Elvis Sun Compilations CDs are all ready pressed and waiting for release comes June 2004. As an avid Elvis Collector who collects EVERY Elvis Presley CD, looks like my pocket's gonna burn a big hole comes June. But I am looking forward to the various different cover artwork - different songs selection etc Should be fun!!! Wonder what BMG/RCA thinks about all these???

Unless there is another tape out there with all four members of the MDQ on it I for one don't see that there's much point in flogging this repeatedly to us or the public, however if there is a tape out there that has Johnny Cash on it with the others then by all means put it out & let us hear the full session, but please don't keep putting it out again & again & again

So true Colin It seems that they should wait until 2007 to release these. Timing will be great then also. It will be the 30th memorial Anniv of Elvis passing.
