Another Claim To The Throne

"The King" Elvis Presley really did have royal blood -- he was a distant cousin to the Queen of England and Princess Di! That's the incredible assertion of genealogy experts who traced Elvis the Pelvis' bloodline back to King Edward III of England -- a direct forebear of both the Queen and Di.

Elvis descended from a wealthy and powerful English family of landowners by the name of Mansel who originated from Yorkshire, then moved to Wales. Elvis' noble connection began in the 16th century, when Sir Edward Mansel, an Elizabethan soldier, married Lady Jane Somerset -- the daughter of the Earl of Worcester and a descendant of King Edward III. Until now most "Elvis-ologists" believed he came from Scottish and Cherokee blood.
