Due for release on the new Wolf Call import label is "Elvis - A Legendary Performer Volume 9". According to the information this compilation should feature previously unreleased live and rehearsal performances, unedited studio recordings, movie outtakes, and previously issued tracks with improved sound quality.
Some of Volume 9's highlights include previously unreleased rehearsals of "Never Been To Spain" in stereo, undubbed stereo master of "Blueberry Hill" in perfect sound, an extended stereo version of "One Night Of Sin" an unedited stereo version of "Too Much Monkey Business" (alternate take 9), three previously unreleased live renditions of "How Great Thou Art" " Let Me Be There" "You Can Have Her" and "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" (duet version).
All previously released soundboard and rehearsal tracks were remastered from first generation tapes.

wolf call label?? I hope this is mentioned as a joke! Strange that madison is not releasing this, or maybe this is a madison sub label. You never know it for sure with those bootleggers. Nice tracklisting, anyway. the sound must be good as always, look at the other eight releases.

well this is 'interesting' but i'd like a few more details such as which date How Great Thou Art from 1976 comes from? Also some of these tracks sound like we had before? like let me be there(Memphis) and what about if you talk in your sleep take 5??? and MAKE BELIEVE whats this crap on here for???

I'm a bit confused : blueberry hill is announced as " undubbed stereo Master ", but the track listing announces " alternate take unknown " (??) Further :in the track listing I count 5 " extended remixes ". Remixed by who ?? Originally remixed and extended by the sound-engineers at the time of recording, or remixed and extended recently by the makers of this CD? Can someone give me an explanation pls? I tend to agree with the skeptics that "Wolf Call" (who?) label is out of line to pick up on Madison's excellent program. It's long been apparent that Madison's reissue program was done in spirit of the original Joan Deary-era "Legendary" series. RCA/BMG/Sony clearly wasn't going to continue the series and I'll bet if Ernst himself picked up the knock-out successor volumes on Madison for his own collection. Madison is a top flight import label, in the company with just a few others, like Fort Baxter, Southern Comfort, Straight Arrow and others. If a label is trying to make a name for itself, why cut into the line like that? There's so many other ways to make a name for yourself. From what I've read, there's not a *single* unreleased track on this set, nor use of the original tapes. Ouch. ***********8

We'd love to see ALL the Legendary CDs or Albums put on 3CDs or in a Box sos that we have all those alternative versions...but nothing more...and maybe we already have most of it already for years !! Yet, it would be a postumus honoring of the great Joann Deary who did a remarkable job for us and for Elvis ! In fact, better work than Felton Jarvis did...listen to the versions that came out later on FTD label of Just call me lonesome, I'm movin on, I'll hold you in my arms, BLove, Monkey business, and so many more....that Jarvis (being very biased and jealous) kept away from us ! Not nice Felton...and Elvis let go by...too bad...Luckily enough FTD can give us those now....years later ! That is why we WANT those outtakes from studio sessions of PromLand, GMan, BLove - great renditions that are now only available on bad sounding bootlegs. Why does BMG Holland or England does not bring them out
