Gotta be pleased with this one,NO.2 this week is pretty good really.Shame we are in the midst of charity releases as we could`ve been NO.1 this week. The charity one`s will prob dominate for at least a couple more weeks, but at least The King is still in the mix.Hail Hail.

I agree Charity records will dominate the uk chart for a couple of weeks: McFly was the 1st Comic relief single and Monday sees the release of the second - Tony Christie's 'Is This The Way To Amarillo?' with full celebrity video made by Peter Kay and many many BBC establishment entertainers so I guess this is guaranteed exposure in the U.K. - Let's hope for a No.2 placing again this week. What a funny 'modern' pop world we live in when Elvis & Tony Christie could have the top slots in the single chart :-)

Both songs are really outstanding numbers ! It brings me some wonderful memories about the time they were originally released. Really fantastic songs, when Elvis was vocally at his best.

this is nothing new, but yet again i`m getting the hump with the media. apparently this is the `6th time Elvis has FAILED to reach NO.1 in the charts`. why does the man get no stinking credit for anything from these random jabroni`s! It`s even more annoying as you and i can answer these`failures` with reasons why Elvis isn`t NO.1, and thinking about it, there isn`t a single part of this whole thing that actually is a chart failure. Hail Hail

forget the british press, they have to print something anti-elvis regardless. as for ourselves surely what has been acheived already has far exceeded our wildest dreams. who else could have a DIFFERENT record in the top 3 EACH week like this. as an aside they were plenty of copies of SNY (limited issue) available today in sheffield (meadowhall) which seems to be good news for those who didnt order but want them. also lots of unlimited copies of all other cd's and vinyl. btw. anyone know (other than charity singles) who last sold 250,000 copies of a single in the uk to qualify for a silver disc ?
