Forget Me Never

Rating:
3.9 / 5

Words & Music: Ben Weisman Fred Wise

If I should go, forget me never
Please say that you'll remember me
I pray the dreams we share together
Will shine on in your memory

Each time a star falls out of heaven
It leaves the sky a deeper blue
So if we part, forget me never
And don't forget my love for you
And don't forget my love for you

Not great, but I love the music and the way he sings it.

Beautifully sung short ballad recorded for, but only used in the trailer for the movie "Wild In The Country". A little dull, yet pleasant, it is not as good as "Lonely Man" (recorded for the same movie), but it is better than the title track. 3 stars.

It sounds like Elvis is playing the guitar himself on this. A nice little ditty.

Another song in the same vein as Wild in the Country, pleasant, and nicely sung, it equates to an innocuous ballad. Good for the occasional spin but Lonely Man was easily the best offering from these recording sessions.

This is such a short, but beautiful ballad and Elvis sang it tenderly, brilliantly and with sincerity. This song really could have used another verse or two to make it an even better and more popular ballad, but the song is over before you know it because it's so very short in length. With that said, the lyrics of this ballad are beautiful, genuine, charming and sweet.

Pretty ballad written for "Wild In The Country." Elvis in fine vocal form. Not a great song, but I like it. 4 stars.

Great song but I agree too short. However, there was a really good remix of this song on the album 'The New Sessions' where the verses are just repeated. This works for me, so simple without messing too much wth the original.
