Elvis and his entourage got off the train in Dallas and rented Cadillacs for the drive to Memphis. Back at Graceland a reporter asked Elvis how his parents felt about his going into the army. Elvis admitted that his mother was very upset about that, like all mothers. On the question of whether his popularity would fade during his absence Elvis responded: " That's the sixty-four-dollar question. I wish I knew."
