March 03, 1956: Elvis wrote a check for $500 toward the purchase of a house for himself and his parents at 1034 Audubon Drive, a well-to-do neighborhood east of downtown Memphis. Later he flew to Shreveport with his cousin Gene Smith, where he performed at the Louisiana Hayride, Municipal Auditorium, Shreveport.
March 03, 1958: Shooting began in New Orleans' French Quarter. The film company stayed in New Orleans until March 11.
March 03, 1959: Elvis traveled to Munich with Red and Lamar to visit Vera Tschechowa, a 18 year old actress whom Elvis met in January while doing publicity shots for the March of Dimes. In the evening they went to dinner with various friends of Vera and later to the Moulin Rouge, a striptease club.
March 03, 1960: Elvis arrived in New Jersey at 7.42 a.m. in the middle of a snow storm. The army held another big press conference with a welcoming party that included the Colonel, Nancy Sinatra and lots of RCA representatives.

March 03, 1962: Elvis bought some clothes at Lansky's.
March 03, 1964: This was the second day of recording at Radio Recorders for Elvis' new film and he worked from 12.30 p.m. till midnight, recording 7 more songs.
March 03, 1967: There were some complaints about Elvis' continuing delays and Elvis was informed that he was expected without fail at United Artists on Monday, March 6.
Meanwhile on the ranch Elvis kept on spending money, buying a Ford pickup, A Ranger and 11 Rancheros as well as another mobile home.
March 03, 1970: Elvis and Priscilla flew to Palm Springs to stay for 2 weeks at their rented Camino del Norte home, while looking for a house to buy.
March 03, 1971: Accompanied by the Carpenters as well as Ricky Stanley and Charlie Hodge, Elvis flew home to Memphis.
March 03, 1974: Elvis performed at the Astrodome, Houston, Texas at 2.00 and 7.00 p.m. Towards the end of Elvis' performance of "Fever", the Colonel appeared on stage, riding a small donkey led by Vernon Presley. As Elvis went into "Let Me Be There", Vernon mounted the donkey and the Colonel slapped it and led it off stage.
March 03, 1975: Elvis flew to California for the recording session which was originally planned for the fall and in preparation for his Vegas opening.
March 03, 1977: In the early morning Elvis signed his will and after taking care of some other business Elvis left for an vacation to Hawaii in order to show the island to Ginger.
