Aloha From Randers

Elvis Unlimited released a souvenir CD for their April 2003 convention.

The theme of the Danish Elvis Unlimited convention is Aloha From Hawaii. The original concert was for a good cause, so is this convention with two sold out concerts. This CD is released as a souvenir. The design is in line with the original Aloha album. In addition to the simular cover the comparisson to the original "Aloha From Hawaii" album goes one step further, since a digi-pack is a fold out too. Inside a classic Aloha image of Elvis, the same as used on the frontpanel. Inside there is a Danish text about the fan club.

Content

This CD contains no music by Elvis. it contains Elvis covers by artists performing at the convention (Taggy Tones and Maarten Jansen), but also the Aloha 1972 press conference and excerpts of the New York 1972 press conference. The CD ends with snippets from other Elvis Unlimited productions. So nothing new here.

Conclusion

This CD offers nothing new to the Elvis fan who owns some "talking only" CD's. It simply is a well designed souvenir for a (probaly) great convention. But we'll let you know that next week.
