Australian director Baz Luhrmann may help ELVIS win not only an Oscar but also another Grammy Award!
The 'ELVIS soundtrack' is nominated for "Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media".
Along with 'Encanto', 'Stranger Things', 'Top Gun: Maverick' and 'West Side Story'
From the ELVIS movie soundtrack Doja Cat's 'Vegas' is also nominated for 'Best Rap Performance' single. Interestingly she is also nominated for her single 'Woman' in the 'Best Pop Solo Performance' category.
The 2023 Grammys Awards are on Sunday, February 5th from Los Angeles Crypto.com Arena
I really enjoyed this album. There are a couple of really great remixes like the Suspicious Minds / Any Day Now one or the Feelin in my body / summer kisses winter tears. There is also just classic elvis and some new duet type stuff with a few songs just intended to deliver to younger generation. Of course nothing can replace the original but the creativity of this album is welcomed as something “different”. My 5 year old loves this album actually often asking for the “new Elvis songs” when we are in the car. I’m glad it has been nominated, and it won an America Music Award this weekend for best Soundtrack as well. I can only hope the wonderful film itself gets award recognition as it truly was a great film.
I can only agree with "elvisfreak" on this one. I would like to add that the remix of It's Only Love, really got me hooked on the song, for the first time ever!
