The Brazilian Elvis Presley fan club released the 328-page book 'Elvis '77’: O Ultimo Ano' (‘Elvis 77: The Last Year’) by Waldenir Ceson. The first print of this book is limited to 50 copies.
Synopsis: What happened to Elvis in his last year of his life? Until recently, there still were some gaps on what happened during the last months of Elvis Presley’s life, like July and the beginning of August. During these weeks, the King had no commitments and was secluded in Memphis.
Through books by people who were close to Elvis, like his hairdresser Larry Geller and Elvis' last girlfriend, Ginger Alden, we got a glimpse of what went on in that period and beyond in 1977. Does everything they wrote portray the truth? It may or may not, but we are not here to judge that.
In ‘Elvis 77: The Last Year’, Ceson compiled everything that is known from January to August of 1977 on more than 300 pages, including over 100 pages on his death and the days that followed. The book covers how some members of the Memphis Mafia were fired, Vernon's struggle to bring the bodies of Elvis and his mother to Graceland, the court fight between Colonel Parker with Priscilla and RCA and more.
In addition, the book also features several photos in black and white and in color, including some rare pictures from August 16 1977 at Graceland.
The fan-club also announced the April 2022 release of 'Jumpsuits Os Macacões de Elvis Vol. 1' by Waldenir Ceson.
Synopsis: This first volume of the trilogy on Elvis Presley's jumpsuits contains over 100 photographs and details of each jumpsuit, including the dates on which Elvis Presley wore it.
