Sound booth recording or soundboard ?

Looking at the Elvis Australia site it seems to be a soundboard release. I hope at least one of them is. Otherwise the booth recording from the August 20 M/S is about the best off line recording ever released. It gives off a great atmosphere. So if the same tape source is used then it wouldn't bother me at all. Besides FTD have done well in upgrading the sound on past releases such as 'The Return to Vegas'.

Another FTD from this ninth engagement in Vegas is so long overdue. More than 16 years since that shambolic 'Closing Night'. I'm so desperate to hear some far more respectable concerts including favourites like Trouble, Steamroller Blues, My Boy and The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. So I'm stoked to hear this new announcement. Ciscoking, any more good soundboards from this period to look forward to ?

The August 20, 1973 (Midnight Show) was released by Fort Baxter in 1995. It was a "stereo sound booth audience recording" in pretty good quality. As FTD does not state that these are both soundboards it is a good possibility that CD1 is the same booth recording but ''improved''. The September 2, 1973 (3AM show) is previously unreleased.
