Got Me Workin' Boss Man - 40 Years After Vol. 1

March 28, 2017 | Music

Straight Arrow is pleased to bring you a new CD dedicated to Elvis' May ’77 tour. The Macon, June 1st, 1977 show is previously unreleased. This recording was taken directly from a recently found 1st generation copy of an audience-recorded mastertape. This historic concert was never before available in decent sound quality… until now! Ask your dealer for sound samples. Compared with an average show in Baton Rouge, May 31st, Macon concert is surprisingly good. ”Fairytale”, ”My Way” and ”And I Love You So” are performed really well but one highlight stands out, rocking performance of „Big Boss Man“ at the end of show. As usual, this new release will be presented in a beautiful 3-panel digipak that includes photos taken in Macon and a newspaper review. If you liked our other May 1977 release “Too Late For Goodbyes” (SA/SP 2016-42-02), we'll bet that you will also love this one.

I really love the cover and the neon flashlight. Some of the SA releases are pretty good but I'm not convinced when I read phrases like "recently found 1st generation copy of an audience recorded MASTER tape". It's still an audience recording, hehe. I'll skip this one

Yes SOUND is very good indeed, unfortunately the show performance doesn't match the sound, still its better than his show 23 days later on 24th June!~
