Live A Little, Love A Little

September 07, 2015 | Music

Live A Little, Love A Little is a new release in FTD's classic album series. It comes in a 7” digipack with booklet. Due to the fact that there are only four songs in the movie, this is a single disc with selected outtakes (track listing not final yet).

Me, too! Been waiting for this one for a long time. It will go into heavy rotation in my CD player.

This release will be great fun! Let the next release be "The Trouble with girls".

FTD, take my money and run...This is something for me. I've always had a heart for those late 60's soundtracks even though the songs were few and no soundtrack albums with them. Elvis seemed to be more willing to actually sing again. Stay Away Joe, The Trouble With Girls, LALAL, Change Of Habit and Charro. The double feature release years ago still gets spins from me. So I welcome this release, hoping they may come up with something for the remaining three movies also!

For the remaining three movies I hope they come up with a three-in-one package... but I won't be surprised if they milk it to two more releases.

Oh, and along with The Trouble With Girls, Charro!, and Change Of Habit they still have Roustabout, Kissin' Cousins, and Speedway to deal with.

Given that LALLAL & SAJ have been given separate releases, why would they then lump the remaining three together (Charro excepted). That would be contrary to everything that's gone before and make no sense whatsoever.

Well, let's be honest... Ernst has been known to do some things in the past that make no sense whatsoever. I'll make a list if you'd like.

No need to bother. I'd rather focus on all the good things from FTD - that would be a very long list.

Yes indeed, VivaLasDavies. FTD has brought us many more good things than bad. On another Elvis forum there are rumors that the session tapes have been found for the 4 songs of LALLAL which would clearly explain how they're able to give the soundtrack its very own FTD treatment. On the other hand, if the session tapes are still lost for The Trouble With Girls, Charro, and Change Of Habit then I don't see how they can justify two separate releases. What would they include as bonus-filler material?

I'm curently putting song's from the film's onto disc, i'm up to Blue Hawaii at the moment, "A Little Less Conversation" & "Rubberneckin'" + "Clean Up Your Own Backyard" will come much later. The later song was played at my request on BBC 2 Saturday just gone, I wanted people who haven't heard to hear it, being a great song hidden really.
