Payin' The Dues In Tahoe

April 08, 2012 | Music

TOUCHDOWN PRODUCTIONS proudly presents a recently discovered complete and much better sounding source from the midnight show an October 13, 1974 including the former unreleased 'Let Me Be There'.

After the mediocre September/ October Tour Elvis is back in decent form and delivered a real good show at the Sahara Hotel.

The soundquality is very good for a show that was recorded from the audience.

Also Sprach Zarathustra / See See Rider / I Got A Woman/ Amen / Greeting The Audience / Love Me / All Shook Up / Teddy Bear - Don't Be Cruel / Heartbreak Hotel / If You Love Me, Let Me Know / Fever / Big Boss Man / It's Midnight / Hound Dog / Joking With The Audience / Introductions Pt.1 / Lawdy Miss Clawdy / Introductions Pt.2 / Why Me Lord / I'm Leavin` / Johnny B. Goode / Hawaiian Wedding Song / Let Me Be There / Can't Help Falling In Love

All tracks recorded on October 13, 1974 in Lake Tahoe at the midnight show.

It's still an ugly suit as were most jumpsuits after 1972

I doubt that the source has been "recently found". A complete tape is circulating in collectors hands few years now. Obviously someone has taken care about this tape now. I don`t think that so many people recorded this very show...lol.. Lake Tahoe was a difficult place for a tape recorder..;-) Anyway,....we had it back in 2007 on "It`s Tahoe Time"..there they took the old source which first surfaced on The Concert Years Vol. 7 cdr with Let Me Be There being missing and Johnny B. Goode being incomplete. A few years ago a new tape surfaced which is complete but bits of the 2001 Theme and the Closing Vamp. The running time of the old source is 48:36...the later source runs for 51:14..I hope they improved the sound..the show itself is not bad...

In the "sun" jumpsuit in 1974. I like the album-CD-photo.

Gosh, the sundial suit doesn't look half-bad in this photo. Makes me wonder if it was The King's bloated physique in 1977 that gave the sundial suit such a bad rapport with the fans?
