Two old friends from Norway, Pål Granlund and Erik Lorentzen both have their book released this weekend in Bad Nauheim during The Elvis Weekend in Elvis' old "home town" in Germany.
The Fashion For A King ( Pål Granlund) and The Elvis Files Vol. 4 (Erik Lorentzen) is made by true fans for the Elvis fans of the world.
I was there and I talked with them..I also had a look in the book..STUNNING...really. But I also got to say..same little mistakes (concert dates,..nothing to do with jumpsuits) as in all other books..;-) I also talked with Jerry Shilling...and of course got an autograpg from him on the famous photo where they met President Nixon..he`s a terrific guy who takes the time to care of the fans. We also walked in the tracks of Elvis when we were strolling in Bad Nauheim where he lived when he was in Germany. it was fantastic..!! It was a great event..thanks to the makers of the German GRACELAND mag..
CiscoKing, it would be nice to have an errata. Could you one way or another enlighten me on this point? Especially Fashion for a King, as the other books are too expensive for me. Thanks for taking the trouble of responding.
It`s just the little things..Elvis gave 14 concerts during the 76 Tahoe season and not 15..Elvis gave 12 shows the following tour and not 13..always the same mistakes cause they just copy from other sources..in this case it might be The Concert Years..cause the same bugs there..no big deal..but a little annoying anyway..at least for me..;-)
Thanks CiscoKing. I have the same sentiment about this kind of mistakes. They advertise in terms of ultimate, complete etc. Yet they seem to copy without scrutinizing themselves too. Luckily you have that knowledge and I will make an addendum myself. Appreciatingly yours, Natha
Money Money Money, fans will pay whatever asked, mistakes or not it will make them good money and thats there only goal.
Don´t get me wrong..I will get this book, too...it is a great work..but I look at these little things first..
