That's The Way It Was

February 09, 2011 | Music

The Godfather import label announced the release of the "famous" July 24, 1970 rehearsal on a digipak 2CD called "That's The Way It Was". The first complete pressing was done by the Fort Baxter import label in 1998 while the Gravel Road import label re-released the recording as a digipak 2CD ten years later.

Nothing wrong with this label, they release everything in digipacks. They also release great cd's of a lot of other singers. I allready have the Fort Baxer but this release is for the beginner collector a great one. Good sound and a great rehearsal !

I've no objection to releases like this, they obviously only offer something new to those who were not able to pick up the earlier releases, but that could be said for any re-issue. The cover design looks OK, in keeping with the material contained within.
