The Columbia Community Blood Drive, held under the auspices of the American Red Cross, will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 15, from 1:30-6:30 p.m., at Turner Hall, 211 E. Cherry St., in Columbia.
Those donating blood through Monday, Feb. 28, will receive a specially designed Elvis Presley-themed rock and roll T-shirt and will be eligible to win a prize during the "Ultimate Elvis Sweepstakes." Prizes include an expense-paid trip for two to Las Vegas, featuring tickets to Cirque du Soleil's Viva Elvis and accommodations at ARIA Resort & Casino at CityCenter; and an expense-paid trip for two to Memphis, Tenn., featuring exclusive Graceland access and accommodations at The Peabody Hotel.
