Graceland Goes Orange

April 02, 2010 | Other

Graceland will 'Go Orange for Animals' on the evenings of April 1-5, in honor of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month.

Landmarks around the country are lighting up in orange throughout April on behalf of the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) to commemorate Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, a nationwide celebration of the human-animal bond and the organization’s victories on behalf of animals.

“We’re deeply honored by the support of landmarks and sponsors that have decided to ‘go orange’ this year,” said ASPCA President & CEO Ed Sayres. “Prevention of Cruelty to Animals month is a time of reflection for both the ASPCA and the nation. This month reminds us of the successes we’ve had preventing animal cruelty and helping homeless pets find safe and loving homes.”

It just feels my heart with joy when there's anything on behalf of Animals connected with Elvis'name. Even better with EPE supporting and being an inspiration to all fans to do the same. Please keep on doing it. Elvis would have approved!

This is a nice gesture on behalf of EPE and one Elvis would have been proud of. Unfortunately some 'idiot' has just damaged the Gates at Graceland, drove up to the house, and then drove off.

The Pancake (my cat) was very emotional about this.

I wonder what this animal organisation would have thought about Scatters treatment?

John 4126 :how was Scatter treated ? And about the treatment (good or bad) what are (were) the sources ? Always El.

John 4126, Yes Scatter was given booze for the amusement of Elvis & his friends. But because you dare to say anything that may take away from the great wonderful persona that the die hards on this site cherish you will upset Benny & many others. Rock on!
