Cover Art Baby Let's Play House

September 24, 2009 | Book

This is the cover-art for Alanna Nash' upcoming 656 pages book entitled "Baby, Let's Play House - Elvis Presley and the Women Who Loved Him" which is due for release from It Books on January 5, 2010 (ISBN: 9780061699849; ISBN10: 0061699845).

In August 2007, Alanna Nash interviewed a number of Elvis' female co-stars, family members, and friends for a Ladies Home Journal article titled 'The Women Who Loved Elvis'. Now she's turning the idea into a book for It Books, to be published in time for Elvis' 75th birthday in January 2010.

Alanna Nash reports the book will be the first comprehensive look at Elvis purely from the female prospective. 'For all his maleness, Elvis was a very woman-centered man, because of his closeness with his mother', she says. 'It was women he could really talk with, and from whom he drew much of his strength. The book will look at a number of his relationships, both platonic and romantic. And part of it will consider how his status as one of the greatest sex symbols of the 20th century informed his stage act and his interactions with the opposite sex'.

Anyone with information or contacts that could help with this project are invited to contact Alanna Nash at alannanash@hotmail.com.

Having read the article in 2007, I must admit I'm intrigued. She does have good timing. Needless to say, I'll be looking out for it.

Oh, pleeezzzzze! Not another "tell all" book. She must need the money. I would have thought better of her.

Alanna Nash is one of the best writers on Elvis. She has earlier published masterpieces such as "Elvis Aaron Presley: Revelations from the Memphis Mafia" (1995), and "The Colonel. The Extraordinary Story of Colonel Tom Parker and Elvis Presley" (2003). Given all the lousy Elvis books hiting the market, this new Elvis book by Alanna might in fact be something worth while waiting for.

How about a book on the music? why is most things on Elvis about his personal life, woman, drugs etc.what about the music? how about a book on the nashville marathon he did in 1970,recording some really great material!
