Sunset Rundown Released

February 12, 2009 | Music

Volume 4 in the Madison import label series "Standing Room Only Tapes", entitled "Sunset Rundown” has been released. The CD comes with a 16 pages booklet and has a running time of 65:08 minutes.

From the original press-release:

"Sunset Rundown" details a unique day, filmed for "Elvis On Tour." At the end of March 1972, MGM's documentary cameras captured Elvis Presley at a rollicking Los Angeles rehearsal at RCA Hollywood. Against a stark background -- no audience -- Presley, the TCB band, and the Stamps Quartet ran down the upcoming tour at the Sunset Boulevard studio with vigor and a few surprises, with selections like "Until It's Time For You To Go," "For The Good Times" and "Burning Love."

Now, one may enjoy the unedited first half of this March 31, 1972 rehearsal -- the second half will comprise Volume 5 of the Standing Room Only Tapes series -- in superb stereo!

Sorry, folks, but I think it is enough to own the FTD release "Elvis On Tour - The Rehearsals". Just my opinion. That's all folks.
