Since this is a rehearsal, wouldn't a rehearsal photo be in order here? Not my favorite Madison CD cover, but then again you don't listen to the cover, it's the CD that counts the most here, so the cover doesn't matter a whole lot!

Now this is something you'll never get from FTD. Great cover and complete, unedited rehearsal. Man,what a ring! Is that a ruby or what? Very well-chosen photo. If FTD release the same material,i'll definitely won't buy that. "Hillcrest Blues" was an excellent release in perfect sound quality. FTD won't outshine that.

I would have also liked a rehearsal pic,but as mentioned you get a booklet and alot more effort then some of the ftds releases,im tired of paying 30 plus for something thrown in a digi pack, will Ftd ever release a complete rehearsal? Now the questions is will Madison come up with the complete Hampton roads shows? i wish they had done the release on the july rehearsals, that would be awesome!

For all people who want an rehearsal photo on the cover, I have to disappoint you - there aren't any ! The images seen from this session are all screen caps, I have to see the first professionally taken photo (ar ANY photo for that matter). It must be quite difficult to compile a booklet with shortage of good photo material - and there ar multiple volumes....

The pic doesnt take away from the release, but a non concert pic would have been a better choice in my view,of course i dont know how many there,i know of a few!

Nice cover! (Better than FTD ever did.)

Is there anyone (outside of the recent anti-bootleg defector from E in Norway!) who isn't totally on the bandwagon from the great releases of MADISON? Ok, excluding Steve V! Madison continues to wow us and always stays just a notch ahead of the others but arguably Fort Baxter and a few others are trying to win the crown. I love FTD but they have some real competition when it comes to stellar booklets, choice artwork, photos and informed liner notes. It's a golden age, I say.

Madison has really tapped the vein of what many Elvis fans have been looking for -- more material from On Tour. Their artwork is the best in the industry, and every release has been top-notch. Is it any wonder that FTD's next release will be Standing Room Only? I'm sure they'll say it's merely coincidence, and they don't pay attention to what the bootleggers are up to; but come on, they've got to know! It's ironic that FTD was created to take the market away from bootleggers, but they only thing they've managed to do is raise the bar on product quality. This may be sacreligious, but I do not prefer one label over another. Whomever wants to put out fantastic Elvis CD's will get my hard earned money.

Yes greg Ftd does has some competition when it comes to booklets, even more so when there digi packs with bad text and no booklets are compared to imports with booklets and text you can read, when i saw the nevada night release,i just had to laugh, imports look like official releases and Ftd's aka offical releases look like what youd think a import aka a bootleg would look like, just hope madison has the complete hampton roads show,as for Ftd i dl ike at least a couple more shows from aug 1970,but to be honest wished madison had the tapes so i could get a nice booklet, sure the music is most important thing but nice to know someone is trying and giving you quality,my money doesnt grow a tree!
