Chocolate 45RPM Record

December 01, 2008 | Music

A Belgian chocolatier has made a 45rpm record out of chocolat. The record 'It's Now Or Never' from Elvis, made out of chocolat, can be played on a real record player. Roland Landuyt from the city of Knokke has the idea for more than 15 years, but he was not able to produce the records untill now. He is not planning to make a commercial product out of the records, he only uses it as a gadget. The production cost of a record is €50,- and it's not known at this time how he can preserve the records.

On the link below, you can see and hear the records.

So .... if you don't like listening to Clambake, Old McDonald or Dominick you can eat them for Xmas. What's that sound in the background?? Oh, it's the Colonel rotating in his grave in anger over not having had this idea in the 60's!

I actually ate one on my recent vacation to Belgium. I got very sick & was rushed to the hospital. Then I realized why I got sick. The uneaten part of the record label read He's Your Uncle Not You Dad (generally considered the worst song ever written).
