February 23, 2007 | Other
Thomas Kinkade, known as the Painter of Light, has been selected by Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. to produce a commemorative painting of Graceland, Elvis Presley's last and most famous home. Here is a preview of the work in progress as shown on several websites. The prices are in. For an unframed print it will cost you around $995.00 and with a frame around $1,680.00. For an additional $250.00 you can get your print signed by the artist at a special event at Graceland in March 2007.

Thomas Kinkade is a wonderful painter, but $1700 for a framed print??? Still, hope it does well.

Not bad, not bad... 68,8% of the costs of a framed painting only for the frame?! 25,1% of a piece of art just for a signature..?! Kinkade must be certain of his art. All things are possible if you only belive! In my next life I will try painting for a living. By the way, I prefer paintings of Elvis to paintings of his house. But maybe we Elvis fans are a bit strange like that. ;o)

Not bad for a work "in progress". I wish I could paint like that. If I had the money I'd buy the "finished product."

WAY to expensive! An average fan can not afford something like this. It's way out of our price range. It's just like EPE to screw us. Besides, Kinkade is over rated.
