Some tracks seem to be missing, ill stick with The american way series, not going to buy 10 differt cd's with same material, this is the one thing about imports i dont like!

for the real fans a true wast of money (100 euro's), looking on what's allready available: there's always me 2 and 3, FTD's made in memphis and memphis sessions rca's suspicious minds and THE import american crown jewels this is just a cheap way from someone to make a quick buck.

Bennie, I am struggling with your view on this. What is your definition of 'real fans'? And do you actually own it, if not, how can you be so dismissive? I have owned this for a couple of weeks now and it worth every penny - 100 euros is not very much money, you would struggle to have a few drinks with friends at the local pub for this much, and this set provides continuous pleasure and delight. I have every one of the other cds you mention, but its great to have all these tracks in one place and on many tracks, the quality is better herev - yes, on some eg Who Am I, there is an annoying intermittent click, not sure what it is, but sounds like a turntable click but don't think it can be as doesn't sound like it's mastered from an LP, as otherwise its very clear. The packaging is also great,if a little anachronistic - why not instead use shots from the right year! Otherwise, a superb package, and at 100 euros, a bargain.

hai suzib, what i mean is what i said and what is said in the inlead: taken from previous releases. when you have the cd's i mentioned you have what it says upbove. when you want a compelation you copie al the different take to a cd.(total costs not more than 5 euro). and it's legal to make copie for personal use from cd's you own. then 100 euro's for something you have is a lot. maybe not for you but for most fans who have the cd's or most of them they don't add much. But it's my upinion.

Collecting Elvis cds is not a matter of copying cds - otherwise no one would buy more than one version of any song. It is not legal to copy CDs in the EU - never has been and never will be - inded there was an appeal in the EU copyright court in Strasbourg on this last year. It is legal in some countries, eg Canada for personal usage, but recording any track in Europe or the US, whithout paying copyright fees is illegal, whether for personal use or not.

Sorry post was sent before I finished it. What I meantto say, was that it's illegal to make copies of cds, unless tax is charged on black recording media, and the tax is paid as coptright fees - this was the basis of the court action last year. The German government wasn't pay the taxes as copyright fees, therefore under EU law, it is illegal. Same in the US.

I also have this cd set and as SuziB says it's certainly one of the better import releases fora long time. As regards copying cds - as a lawyer, let megive a legal view. Suzi is again correct. I also think probably from inference that she meant to also say that making copies of bootlegs is illegal in every country in the world. Some countries allow recording for personal uage ie it is not sold, distribued etc but that is only allowable on recordings where copyright fees have been paid to the performer, published and record company. As this excludes boolegs/imports, you have no right to copy them - it is not however, necessarily illegal to buy bootlegs but it is to trade in them.

SuziB, I've noticed the clicks too - not sure what they are, but mainly on cd 6. Probablly worst on Who Am I, though it's apparent on a couple of the Change of Habit tracks too. But even BMG don't get their mastering right all the time, so I guess it's acceptable. This collection cost me £60, which for 6 cds isn't bad at all - rather have this at this price than the £16 I spent on Unchained Melody!

A few imports + a few officials + a little knowledge = Your own 6 CD Set. Costs: 6 CDR`s = 2 Euro

I used to have a ton of bootlegs on CDR bt that misses the point - which is that I want to own a 'properly' packaged product on proper manufactured cds. Where the pride and joy of ownership of CRDs? There is none.

I think he meant you can take your already owned imports, ftd releases and regular releases from this 69 material and make your own cdr set,i could be wrong, my mind reading skills aint what they use to be!
