According to Elvis Unlimited the announced DVD release from Germany of the DVD Elvis On Tour has been postponed. When the DVD will be released is unknown at the moment.

Most probably they don't have the rights for the one line of "Carry Me Back To Old Virginy" or what. So, what could be the reason for a delay of a not remastered 4:3 mono release of a movie from the 70s? So, MGM leaves the gates open for all bootleggers who are selling the outtake DVDs on Ebay. Great decision.

Good news. Now release an official On Tour, remastered 5.1 sound with new material ! It's about time.

In 1972 they didn't have (or couldn't get) the rights to Also sprach Zarathustra either. Notice the strange orchestra music prior to Elvis getting on stage? That's not the 2001 theme. Tunzi's Sessions II lists the recording of a "2001 Alternate" on March 3, 1972.
