Passport International was kindly enough to send us a preview copy of the 8 DVD set, "The Definitive Elvis". Because these are screening copies on video, we can't say too much about the image or sound quality, but it really looks very promising.
Content
After only viewing two of the sixteen one hour episodes, we are sure we want to see and have it all. Rare pictures and rare footage of Elvis himself, decorated with interviews with celebrities like Kenny Rogers, Barry Gibb and Bill Medley, girlfriends like Anita Wood and Linda Thompson, and people who worked with Elvis are giving a very good picture of the man and his heritage.
The two episodes we saw were both presented in a way that prevents boredom. Switching between footage and interviews is done in such a way that it stays interesting, without giving you the need to push the fast-forward button.
Conclusion
We can only say that we are looking forward to the final result on DVD and that we will update you very soon with a more detailed overview of what to expect.
