The Elvisfest Portugal 2002, which will take place in Ourém/Fátima (Portugal) on August 15-18, will honor Elvis Presley in a special way that will link Elvis to Portugal. The official Elvis fan club "Burning Star" and the Oureana Historical Cultural Foundation will release two limited edition CDs on August 15th to mark the 25th anniversary of Elvis' passing. One of these CDs is a tribute CD with several tracks from Danny Mirror and Tulsa McLean and an Elvis interview. The other CD is an Elvis CD-single with two different versions of the song Miracle Of The Rosary - the song which was written by Lee Denson (Elvis' friend) dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima and which is the song that connects Elvis to Portugal.
The playing of this theme by Elvis to a 2.5 million crowd at Fatima on the night of August 15th, Feast of the Assumption of Mary and 25th Vigil of Elvis’ passing will most likely be the highlight of the year’s celebrations.
