Ira Jones, Elvis's sergeant in the Army, passed away Sunday morning. The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 15, at 10:00 am at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas.
Visitation is Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm.

I had the pleasure to meet Sgt. Jones a few years ago during Elvis Week. He was a very nice man, spoke freely with Elvis fans, and I was lucky enough to buy the book he wrote "Soldier Boy Elvis" which he autographed for me.
