Elvis Sampled

October 31, 2000 | Other
In a deliberate attempt to fan the flames of the file-sharing debate, British alt-pop group Chumbawamba has illegally -- and proudly -- sampled the music of Eminem, the Beatles, Madonna, Metallica, and Dr. Dre and Elvis Presley in a song titled Pass It Along.

The song features clips lifted from Eminem's "Real Slim Shady," Elvis Presley singing "it's one for the money" from the classic "Blue Suede Shoes," and John Lennon singing "the best things in life are free" from the Beatles' version of "Money."
