Elvis And The Motion Picture And Television Fund

November 08, 2000 | Other
Elvis was always known for his generosity and philanthropy, whether it was giving a Cadillac to a special friend, or even a stranger in need of a new car, or pledging part of his movie paychecks to support the worthy Motion Picture & Television Fund. MPTF provides a wide variety of programs benefiting members of the entertainment industry and their families. From assisted-living facilities for seniors, to child care. MPTF is the organization that keeps it all going.

On Nov. 2 a special industry screening of Elvis, That's The Way It Is: Special Edition was held at the Steven J. Ross Theater on the Warner Bros. Studios lot. This kicked off a fundraising campaign designed to boost awareness of the MPTF and its programs. Be sure to check out the special web site commemorating this event which went live on November 6, and check out special footage from the film, photos from Elvis' movie career, and much more. You can even make a secure, credit card donation to the MPTF foundation online. For more information visit:http://www.elvischarity.com or http://www.mptvfund.org
