VH1 presents "100 Most Shocking Moments in Rock & Roll,'' a five-hour, five-night special premiering Monday, May 21, through Friday, May 25, from 10:00-11:00 p.m. (ET/PT) each night. The list defines and analyzes those lighthearted, amazing, provocative, tragic or just-plain-surprising events that stopped time, grabbed worldwide headlines, and burned themselves into the collective consciousness of music fans over a half-century of rock history. Topping the list is the 1980 assassination of rock legend John Lennon, which still reverberates throughout the music world more than twenty years later.
