It's more of the same and unfortunately the set contains only incomplete shows, but the producers did at least fill the CD's with the addition of the released songs. Some people might be happy since the "originals" are hard to find nowadays.more

Elvis is very at ease and is clearly ‘having fun on stage’. In the ballads he proves his vocal abilities, in the rock and roll songs his energy. Perhaps a bit too much, since these are very fast. This release is better than the 1990 version.more

This is a “reaction release” by FTD, since it was announced after bootleggers showed the intention to re-release the shows. Both shows from October 1976 were released before as Chicago Beat (14th) and Bringin’ The House Down (15th).more

I have to admit that I had to frown my eyebrows, hearing of the release of Elvis' Christmas Album 3D MONO. Is it a real Christmas present?more

The World Wide Web is faster than SONY / BMG; the new "Christmas Duets" CD is already available for download if you know where to look. From that download I wrote this preview and since it was available in a high audio quality (320 KBS) it will probably be very close to the sound of the actual CD when it will be released next week; if only for the complete duets.more

My thoughts are that it is a fantastic set. We could have had a little less Nashville and movie songs but I'm sure we will get more in the next months and years. The highlight for me is no question the 50's stereo master's they sound as if they were recorded yesterday. And it is also nice to have the On Tour Texas show in stereo.more
